FAQ

1) Who should attend the Green Officer Training?
Send at least one person from your business to this training, but we hope you'll make it a team effort.

2) Is there a discount for group attendance from the same company?
Yes.  One person is $950, but all other attendees from the same company will ger a $100 disocount.  We want you to send a team to this program to make the greatest impact on your company's success.

3) How long is the program, and can I go at my own speed?
All classes are archived and ready when you are.  We suggest a one week cycle for those ready to learn, and two weeks for the harried worker.  Businesses are advised to allow workers an allotted time for training during work hours.  This is a serious effort taking in excess of 24 hours of time.
4) Is there an outline of what we can expect to learn at Green Officer Training?
Yes, please Click Here for more details.  Materials will be provided in the class as the program unfolds.  You need only take notes if you prefer.  Program subject to change as we see the class respond.

5) What is required to earn my Green Officer Certificate?
You must complete a Green certification plan for your business ... or a model business if you are not in a company now.  Certificates are mailed upon successful submission of your project.

6) Will products be sold during this event?  Are we expected to buy any products for this program?
No, we do not sell products.  Sponsors may provide free samples, but we do not promote any product.  These programs are offered through the Green Business League which provides certification options..

7) Will my company be able to earn a Certified Green Business status?
Yes.  As your company earns points in the GBL Green Practices system, an audit will be required to certify the points and issue the appropriate certification.  Any company can earn the GBL Green Business certification if it makes modest progress in our system.

8) Why haven't I heard of the Green Business League before?
Since 2005, our program has trained more than 2500 businesses/people in Green Practices.  We have more than 250 Certified Green Consultants nationwide and in foreign countries.  We rate Page One with the Google search engine under "Green Business."  Though GBL is not an old company, it is a strong company with a long view of establishing a standard in Green business certification.  GBL Certified Green Officer is a federal trademark of the Green Business League.

9) Will my Green Officer status transfer with me if I change jobs?

Yes, it will.  In fact, we believe that your Green Officer certification is an enhancement of your resume.  You need only keep your Green Office status renewed from year to year.

You must take a 10 CEU online course each year to keep your Green Officer status.  The fee is $100 per year, and you need not travel since the material will be offered online.
